Work Location New York, New York, United States of America Hours 40 Line of Business Human Resources Pay Detail $97,240 - $145,600 USD Job Summary The Compensation Advisor II will manage the day‑to‑day relationship with partners and lead customized compensation solutions within the assigned portfolio. Responsibilities Collaborate with internal and external partners to manage the effective development, implementation, and ongoing delivery of Total Rewards solutions, while ensuring alignment with the broader HR strategy. Maintain a thorough understanding of the portfolio’s strategic direction, ensuring alignment of business‑specific compensation programs with established enterprise Total Rewards principles and objectives. Lead and manage end‑to‑end activities for the assigned portfolio, including daily compensation advisory and counsel, complex compensation design, ongoing forecasting, and monitoring of plan health, competitiveness, and alignment to business strategy. Actively monitor competitive market trends with a solid understanding of external comparative structures, ensuring compensation designs and pay level opportunities attract and retain qualified talent. Lead strategic discussions on plan design and conduct complex modeling, stress‑testing, and analysis for the purposes of compensation design. Develop written materials on program design and impact that are reviewed by Conduct Risk Committees and the HR Committee of the Board, as applicable. Prepare and provide guidance and interpretation of analysis, forecasting, and summaries on compensation matters, including advice and support on policy and plan interpretation. Independently manage year‑end compensation for the assigned portfolios, including market data intelligence by monitoring participation in salary surveys to ensure competitive compensation and alignment with business strategy and compensation philosophy. Actively participate in compensation advisory projects, engaging multiple stakeholders across functions using well‑established project planning and change management skills, including managing communication requirements. May provide guidance to Compensation AdvisorI positions. Education & Experience Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience. 7+ years of related experience. Strong consulting, problem‑solving, and analytical skills. Experience in a numerical/analytical capacity with the ability to model, review, and analyze data and present findings to senior business leaders. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to tell a compelling story with data to create persuasive recommendations. Ability to lead and conduct modeling, stress‑testing, and analysis for the purposes of compensation design. Impact and influencing skills with the ability to persuade members from other areas to obtain cooperation in achieving objectives. Working knowledge of local, state, and national laws and regulations pertaining to compensation programs, in particular, the Fair Labor Standards Act. Intermediate to advanced working knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Working knowledge of Access preferred. Project management skills, with the ability to provide oversight and coordination of multiple projects with changing priorities concurrently under tight timelines and with multiple stakeholders. Highly organized, self‑motivated, able to work independently and delegate tasks/work to others. Ability to manage changing priorities and work under tight deadlines. Preferred Qualifications Compensation experience supporting Capital Markets preferred. Proven experience advising Business Partners and other stakeholders on compensation policy and practices. Strong influencing and stakeholder management skills. Strategic thinker with strong consulting and problem‑solving capabilities. Advanced analytical skills with strong attention to detail. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to deliver clear, concise messaging. Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment. Strong project management skills; comfortable navigating ambiguity in a matrixed organization. Physical Requirements The role requires continuous sedentary work, occasional standing, occasional walking, occasional lifting of under 25 pounds, and occasional manipulation or movement in confined spaces.
