Harvest - Grain Handler/ Elevator worker (US)

$15/hr - We work 730a-430p m-f when not in harvest hours. There is always a potential for overtime and weekends though. Harvest hours vary depending on need. Once we begin harvest hours I usually run 2 split shifts on 730a-730p and one 10a-10p They will get 1 day off a week and it will not be a Saturday or Sunday. It will be a week day and I can usually work with people but I go in seniority order when picking days off.


Position Summary:Potential assignments may include, but are not limited to: Dump and load railcars and trucks Operate a grain dryer Assist with grain handling General housekeeping duties General maintenance, as needed Job Requirements: Commitment to ADM s goal of achieving a zero injury culture; understand and follow company safety procedures , as well as a commitment to uphold the ADM Code of ConductHigh school education or equivalent preferredMust be 18 years of age or olderValid Driver s License *Exhibit regular and prompt attendance Able to meet physical requirements of the position including, but not limited to: prolonged periods of standing and sitting, working in confined spaces and from heights, bending, kneeling, climbing stairs and ladders, working in a variety of conditions (heat, cold, dust, etc.), move up to 50 pounds, as well as the ability to wear a respirator Willing to work overtime and weekends, if needed Demonstrate initiative to work independently while flexible enough to work in team setting when needed Exhibit a professional image at all times; maintain a positive and respectful attitudeAbility to work near or around dry/liquid fertilizersAbility to operate power industrial equipmentBarge loading (for Barge/Terminal locations)Deck Handing (for Barge/Terminal locations)Ability to work near or on water (for Barge/Terminal locations)
