Registered Nurse

The nursing position involves working three 12-hour night shifts per week. The patient population will primarily consist of medical/surgical patients, including those requiring telemetry monitoring. The nurse will be responsible for observing patients with respiratory conditions and general medical-surgical diagnoses. Nurses will provide care for patients at the end of life and those in hospice settings. Responsibilities also include care for psychiatric observation and patients with complications related to diabetes. The role may include surgical patients and surgical observations. Traveling nurses may be required to float to different units based on census needs. Patient ratios will be up to 6 patients per nurse. Nurses are expected to work holidays and weekends as needed. Candidates must be able to pass an EKG exam during onboarding. Strong skills in telemetry and management of dysrhythmias are essential. Successful candidates will demonstrate proficiency in IV starts, peripheral line management, and wound care. Knowledge of isolation precautions and the use of rapid response teams is necessary. Experience with Electronic Health Records is required. Candidates will be required to complete a full compliance file prior to the start date.
