Shipping and Receiving Coordinator

Job Objective: The qualified candidate will be responsible for inventory management of incoming and outgoing shipments of company products and parts necessary for the function of our business. Job Responsibilities: Reconciliation of receiving/purchase documentation. Notifies and/or delivers incoming product to end user as needed. Completes daily receiving entries in computer system (MAX / EXCEL). Distributes to accounting. Responsible for managing all outbound shipments, packaging of product to be shipped, including preparation paperwork of shipping labels, commercial invoices, packing slips, bill of ladings, and arrangement of transportation services. Performs general housekeeping, maintenance and organization of the dock area; includes hands-on cleaning and management of packaging material inventories. Organization and interpersonal skills to coordinate with other departments. Performs other duties as assigned. Competency, Skills, Knowledge, and Education Requirements: High School diploma Maintains a working knowledge and understanding of all currently hazardous materials IATA, IMDG, and DOT/49 CFR) shipping regulations and documentation requirements 1+ years of shipping & receiving experience Experience with Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Excel, and MRP software for data entry Works well without supervision. Good verbal and written communication skills. Self-starter, able to recognize problems and discern solutions without being asked. Knowledge of common material handling equipment. Physical Demands: Regularly required to sit for long periods, stand, walk, bend, kneeling, stooping, crouching, reach with arms & hands, ability to handle & feel objects, tools or controls, move/walk about the facility and talk and hear. Able to moderately lift up to 50 lbs, package product to prepare for domestic and international shipping Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Work performed in a combination of shop and office environments. Exposed to shop elements such as noise, dust, odors, fumes, oils.
