Architectural Drafter II Location: Norman, OK, On-site A growing architecture and design organization is seeking an Architectural Drafter II to take meaningful ownership of project documentation and BIM production. This is an opportunity for an experienced architectural production professional who enjoys turning design intent into accurate, buildable documents, solving coordination challenges before they become field issues, and contributing across the project lifecycle. You will work closely with architects, consultants, and other project stakeholders while gaining exposure to technically detailed work and helping strengthen production standards across the team. This Role Offers Hands-on ownership of drawing production for small to mid-sized projects and defined portions of larger assignments. An opportunity to work across design documentation, BIM coordination, code-related documentation, and construction-phase updates. Focus Build coordinated permit and bid drawing packages from developed design information, consultant input, and project standards. Maintain architectural BIM content and drawing views so plans, schedules, details, and annotations remain aligned as projects evolve. Coordinate architectural files with structural, MEP, and civil information, flagging conflicts and unresolved conditions for the project team. Prepare technically detailed sections and envelope conditions, including stairs, vertical circulation, roof transitions, glazing interfaces, and moisture-control assemblies. Support code and life-safety documentation by translating occupancy, egress, accessibility, and rated-construction requirements into clear drawing information. Organize consultant backgrounds, coordination files, and drawing updates to support accurate project issue sets. Turn consultant markups and verified field conditions into accurate revisions while identifying discrepancies before they reach final review. Assist during construction with drawing revisions, supplemental sketches, bulletin documents, and incorporation of approved information into the project record. Share Revit and drafting best practices with developing team members and help reinforce consistent production standards. Skill Set 3 to 6 years of architectural production experience within an architecture, design, or design-build setting. Advanced working knowledge of Revit and AutoCAD, including families, parameters, phasing, work-sharing, view templates, and shared coordinates. Practical understanding of building codes, ADA clearances, rated assemblies, and construction-document conventions. Demonstrated ability to interpret consultant redlines and field-verified conditions and translate them into coordinated drawing updates. Strong attention to detail with the ability to recognize documentation and coordination issues before drawings advance through review. Ability to collaborate effectively with architects, consultants, and other project contributors while managing assigned production responsibilities with limited supervision. Preferred Qualifications Experience creating custom Revit families or working with Dynamo. Prior field or construction experience.
