CAD Drafter

A leading engineering firm in Creedmoor, NC is seeking a CAD Drafter to join their growing team. This role is ideal for a motivated individual with a background in mechanical drafting and a passion for precision design. The CAD Drafter will be responsible for creating 2D and 3D models of customized construction equipment using SolidWorks, supporting the engineering team in delivering high-quality, client-specific solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
• Create detailed 2D and 3D mechanical drawings using SolidWorks for customized construction equipment.
• Interpret and apply company and client standards to all drafting work.
• Collaborate with engineers to prepare mechanical design sketches and layouts.
• Maintain accurate documentation and revision control of all drawings.
Support manufacturing and production teams with clear and precise technical drawings.

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum 1 year of drafting experience using SolidWorks (academic experience acceptable).
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving abilities.


Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Preferred Qualifications (Plusses):
• Experience with DraftSight or AutoCAD.
• Mechanical background, particularly in steel or electronics design.
Familiarity with manufacturing environments and construction equipment.
