About the Role The EVS Associate is a vital member of the Rescue Mission of Trenton team. More than just a custodial role, this position is responsible for championing our “Culture of Clean.” By maintaining a safe, sanitized, and welcoming environment, the EVS Associate directly contributes to the dignity, health, and recovery of our clients and the professional excellence of our agency. The role supports patient/client safety, staff operations, and overall facility readiness in accordance with healthcare and behavioral health environmental standards. Core Responsibilities Infection Control: Prevent the spread of germs in the Behavioral Health Unit and Emergency Shelter through high‑touch surface disinfection. Sanitation & Safety: Handle routine cleaning of residential rooms, restrooms, and common areas, as well as specialized cleaning tasks such as responding to spills or deep‑cleaning after a resident moves out. Regulatory Compliance: Follow strict protocols and document work to ensure the building meets health department or state agency standards. Light Maintenance: Change light bulbs, report broken fixtures, or move furniture to prepare rooms for new arrivals. Campus Support: Assist with maintaining the main campus (over 150k sqft) and occasional light landscaping assistance. Culinary Support: Sanitize kitchens and ensure meal service meets requirements, supporting over 70 meals each day. Compensation & Benefits Pay Rate: $17.51 an hour, plus $1.00 per hour for every hour worked paid out quarterly. Full Time: 32–40 hours per week. Must have weekday and weekend flexibility.
