The Opportunity: Assistant Operations Manager - Housekeeping
We're looking for a driven and detail-oriented leader to help elevate our housekeeping operations. In this role, you'll partner with the Executive Housekeeper to oversee all aspects of housekeeping-from guest rooms to public spaces-ensuring every corner reflects Hyatt's high standards.
You'll play a key role in:
Leading daily operations across housekeeping and public areas
Coaching, developing, and scheduling team members
Delivering exceptional guest experiences, including VIP and high-profile guests
Upholding safety, cleanliness, and operational excellence
Fostering a positive, high-performing team environment
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced setting and takes pride in creating exceptional experiences behind the scenes.
What You'll Bring
A passion for service and creating memorable guest experiences
1-2 years of progressive experience in hotel Rooms or Housekeeping leadership
Strong communication and organizational skills
A collaborative, high-energy leadership style
Attention to detail and a drive for operational excellence
Flexibility to work weekends and holidays
Union experience (preferred)
Hospitality degree (a plus)
What You'll Earn
Salary: $66,300 - $72,000 (based on experience)

Qualifications

A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment.
Refined verbal and written communication skills.
1-2 years of progressive hotel Rooms Management experience, housekeeping management experience preferred
Service oriented style with professional presentations skills
Hotel/Hospitality degree an asset
Must possess the following strengths: high energy, entrepreneurial spirit, motivational leader, effective communicator, effective in providing exceptional customer service and ability to improve the bottom line
Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
Must have excellent organizational, interpersonal and administrative skills
Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
Union experience strongly preferred
