Licensed Practical Nurse

Full-time position in a pediatric setting. Monday to Friday schedule with potential adjustment in start and end times based on department needs. The role includes providing care to pediatric patients. Responsible for vital sign monitoring and medication reconciliation. Will obtain and instruct on clean catch urine samples and phlebotomy. Conduct follow-up phone calls and interpret laboratory results. Perform assessment on patient health questionnaires and allergies. Engage in pharmacy calls and patient refill requests. Set up aseptic and sterile procedure trays. Collect throat specimens and recognize pediatric conditions such as asthma and croup. Must be able to identify signs of abuse and understand respiratory illnesses like Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV). Experience with an electronic charting system is preferred. Ideal candidates should possess skills related to outpatient clinics and urgent care centers.

Experience: - Pediatric experience is a plus. - Minimum of 1 year experience preferred.

License: - Current state license and registration as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is required.

Certifications: - Current BLS certification from AHA is required.

Must-Have: - High school diploma or GED is required. - Graduate from an accredited Licensed Practical Nursing program is required. - Knowledge in principles of infection control, performance improvement, and delegation is required.
