LPN Nurse Opportunity

• Performing priority technical skills/procedures required by the area/department/assignment safely, effectively, efficiently and legally.
• Contributing to the development of a plan of care for assigned patients.
• Establishing and/or revising priority for patient care activities based on acuity of needs, resource availability, patient preference and other departmental needs.
• Managing and identifying medical needs responding to data indicating potential risk to individual's health, initiating action to correct, reduce or prevent the risk.
• Making decisions based on scientific principles, successful experience, intuition and/or standards of practice and delegate safely and appropriately to all care team members.
• Collaborating with care team members on identifying actions to improve patient care and seeking supervision, consultation and assistance when unable to perform effectively or independently.
• Using all resources to resolve and prevent problems that cannot be managed independently.
• Maintaining documentation consistent with established guidelines.
• Maintaining and advocating for a safe environment for everyone.
• Monitoring and engaging with your patients, families, and appropriate care team members concerning significant events, patient condition changes, or patient questions and concerns.
• Ensuring continuity of care, efficient throughput, consistent communications, and an exceptional experience for every patient.
• Initiating and/or maintaining interventions to ensure safe and effective care, including medication management.
• Educating patients and families using appropriate resources and continuum of care services.

The must-haves minimum:

• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) -- Louisiana State Board of Practical Nurse Examiners
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
• Work shift: Nights (United States of America)
