Job Description

• Work as part of the dietary team to ensure the smooth, efficient, and safe operation of the kitchen.
• Assist with meal service, including setting and bussing tables in the dining room.
• Prepare and assemble salads, sandwiches, and other food items according to established standards.
• Operate the Salad Station and Sandwich Station efficiently and accurately.
• Ensure proper portion control, food temperature, freshness, and appearance of food items.
• Assist cooks with food preparation and other kitchen duties as needed.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and safe food-handling procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen and dining area.
• Provide courteous, professional, and excellent customer service at all times.

Primary Job Duties

• Monitor food quality, temperature, portion sizes, freshness, and presentation.
• Prepare and assemble salads, sandwiches, and related food items according to standards.
• Ensure proper portion control and consistency of all food items.
• Assist with meal service, table setting, and bussing in the dining room.
• Properly label, store, and rotate food products as required.
• Clean and sanitize workstations, equipment, utensils, and dining areas.
• Assist with food preparation, kitchen cleaning, and other duties as assigned.
• Communicate food supply needs, shortages, or concerns to the supervisor.
