Seasonal Travel RN - Operating Room

Saturday through Monday schedule with day shifts from 7 AM to 5 PM. The position also requires rotating one additional weekday shift covering the third shift.

Unit Information

This position is located in a 408-bed hospital with a main Operating Room (OR) that includes:

• 14 operating rooms (1 Hybrid CV OR, 1 Cysto, 12 multipurpose ORs)
• A team of approximately 60 full-time employees, including RNs, CSTs, and anesthesia techs.
• Day shift staffing of 14-16 RNs, 14-16 CSTs, and 2 Clinical Charge RNs.
• Night shift coverage includes a Clinical Charge RN, 1 OR RN, and 1 CST, supported by call teams for Neurology, Cardiovascular, and General cases.

Patient Ratios

1:1 patient care ratio in the operating room.

Equipment

• Standard OR equipment
• Stryker video systems
• Electronic Medical Records (EMR) - Meditech

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

• 1 year of current acute care hospital experience
• BLS & ACLS certification

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in circulating and scrubbing procedures
• Familiarity with Meditech EMR system

Typical Procedures

The unit performs a variety of procedures including:

• Angioplasty
• Appendectomy
• Biopsy
• Orthopedic and spine surgeries

No transplant procedures are conducted in this unit.

Unit Policies and Guidelines

On-call requirements include:

• 2 twelve-hour call shifts per month
