Job Title : CDL A Driver / Switcher (Evening Shift) Pay: $30.78/hr + overtime Location: Rotterdam, NY Job Type : Full-Time Schedule: Monday–Friday | 6:00 PM start until completion (typically 40–50 hours/week) Shift : Evening / Nights
Pay: $32/hr + overtime
About the Role:
Our client—a global leader in recycling and sustainable materials management—is hiring a reliable, experienced CDL A Driver / Switcher for a stable, year-round position in Rotterdam, NY. This is a well-established operation known for safety, sustainability, and maintaining high-quality equipment.
What You’ll Do
- Move, route, and position trailers between the yard and loading docks
- Pick up and return empty and full trailers to the plant
- Switch empty and full trailers 3–4 nights per week (depending on distance)
- Load, secure, and unload cargo as needed
- Lift 25–50 lbs while managing equipment and trailer movement
What You Need
- Valid CDL A with 2+ years of driving experience
- Satisfactory driving record
- Valid DOT medical card
- Ability to lift 25–50 lbs
- Comfortable using handheld devices (smartphone or similar), or willing to learn
