Description: The Payload Launch Sites Support Services (PLSSS) Program within SSC provides launch processing support functions for the Office of Space Launch (OSL). One of the program’s two primary operating locations is Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, FL. Key elements of the PLSSS program scope include satellite launch processing, satellite transport operations, satellite propellant loading operations, clean room operations, satellite processing and support facilities O&M, and safety and environmental services. Basic Qualifications Hold a Journeyman or Master Electrician license with high voltage experience up to 13.2 volts 3 phase Be a US Citizen able to obtain a TS/SCI with Poly Desired Skills Experience installation, maintaining and repairs on 3-phase switchgear, motor starters, PLCs, VFDs, Pumps, Automatic Transfer Switches, 480V/277V-208V/120V Distribution Panels, Lightning, Generators, and related electrical wiring systems. Ability to perform maintenance services, diagnose systems or equipment malfunctions, and complete repairs when required Ability to interpret and apply building plans, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and engineering drawings Skilled in the use of a wide variety of test equipment such as voltmeter, ammeter, wattmeter, and ohmmeter Understanding of safety protocols for handling high voltage, hazardous materials Knowledge of how to replace all types of receptacles Experience of Re-lamping light fixtures and replacing bulbs Experience with Emergency Standby Power and transfer switches Experience with uninterrupted power supplies Work with Motor Control Center (MCC) Knowledgeable of Facility Lightning Protection Systems Industrial machinery experience, and strict adherence to NFPA 70E/NEC safety standards Test/Troubleshoots circuits and equipment by use of voltmeter, ammeter, wattmeter, and ohmmeter Experience on High Voltage systems using 3-phase current Ability to install both Rigid Steel conduit (RSC) and Electrical Metallic Tubing (EMT) to include but not limited to measures, cuts, threads, bends, assembly Ability to lift 45lbs Ability to climb multiple flights of stairs Proficient in Microsoft Office software bundle, Power Point and Project Strong attention to detail for part inspection and compliance verification Strong communication skills—both written (reports, logs) and verbal Ability and willingness to perform some travel (up to 10%) Willing to perform other jobs as assigned Clearance Level: TS/SCI with Poly SP Lockheed Martin is an equal opportunity employer.
