Position: Travel RN - Med/Surg (Oncology & General Surgery)

Shift

7 PM - 7 AM

Unit Information

Unit: 8T (Oncology & General Surgery)

• Number of Beds: 24
• Staff Members: 19 with 6 new nurses onboarding this month
• Day Shift: 1 Charge Nurse, 5 Nurses, and 1 Administrative Care Technician
• Night Shift: 1 Charge Nurse and 5 Nurses when full
• Patient Ratios: 1:5 (estimated)
• Electronic Medical Records: Meditech

Candidate Requirements

• Must Have:
  
  
  • Minimum 1-year current acute care hospital Med/Surg experience
  • BLS certification
• Preferred:
  
  
  • Chemotherapy certification
  • ACLS certification

Typical Procedures Performed

• Standard Med/Surg care
• Chemotherapy administration (handled only by certified nurses)

Unit Guidelines/Policies

• Vital signs performed every 8 hours
• Remote telemetry patients receive vital signs every 4 hours
