Step into a specialized opportunity working directly with a high school student in need of expert speech-language services. This contract position is ideal for an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist (CCC) who possesses advanced skills in Assistive Technology (AT), especially with eye gaze systems like the Accent device. Your expertise will greatly impact the educational journey of the student and provide essential support to both the student and the educational team.

What you’ll need to succeed:

• Active Texas Speech-Language Pathology license (issued by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation)
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA, if you have logged hours
• Recent professional references as required by the school district
• Demonstrated experience supporting students with AT needs, specifically using, programming, calibrating, and maintaining eye gaze technology and Accent devices
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills when collaborating with multidisciplinary teams

Key responsibilities:

• Provide direct, in-person speech-language and AT support to a high school student for up to 2 hours each week at a designated school
• Assess, implement, and monitor the use of eye gaze technology, ensuring accurate programming and routine calibration
• Maintain communication with the student’s educational team, offering guidance and indirect consultation
• Document services and progress in compliance with district and professional standards
