1st shift: Monday – Thursday 5:00am – 3:00pm 

Pay: $18.00/hr. 

Location: Red Wing, MN 

Job Summary for Laser Operator:

Efficiently operates laser engraving machines used in the printing process by setting up, adjusting, and operating laser engraving machines and prepares items processed for the next routing step. Ensure that only products meeting company standards are passed onto the next step or packaged to ship to our customers.

Primary Responsibilities for Laser Operator: 

• Efficiently operate YAG & CO2 lasers
• Pull up correct dialog boxes on computer and accurately enter the correct setting for speed, frequency, and the number of passes for the product being produced
• Accurately determines the size of the art and enters it into the appropriate dialog box on the computer 
• Sets up and adjusts machines for proper operation 
• Ensures that the proper supplies are being used for printing 
• Reads and follows manufacturing orders to make sure orders are printed according to specifications 
• Changes tooling to accommodate the product being printed 
• May package product for shipping, making sure proper box size and packaging procedures are followed and ensuring that only products meeting quality standards are packed to ship to our customers
• Uses DCT to accurately report process completion for each manufacturing order
• Maintains equipment and does preventative maintenance in order to keep equipment in good working condition

Qualifications for Laser Operator: 

• Must be 18 years of age or older 
• Manufacturing experience preferred
• Must be able to read and understand work instructions, perform basic math functions, and make adjustments and/or minor repairs to equipment 
• Able to effectively create working relationships with other employees 
• Able to maintain a clean and neat working environment
• Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time and lift up to 25lbs. repetitively
