Whether you’re passionate about healthcare, behavioral health, education, or social services, there’s a place for you to make a meaningful difference.Company Mission:The mission of NARA NW is to provide education, physical, mental health services, and substance abuse treatment that is culturally appropriate to American Indians, Alaska Natives, and anyone in need.About the Company:At NARA NW, we deliver services and support to Native American and Alaska Native communities, helping individuals lead healthier, more fulfilling lives.With over 450 employees across a variety of programs—including medical and dental care, addiction treatment, housing assistance, and enrichment initiatives NARA NW offers numerous opportunities for growth and advancement, all while making a tangible, positive impact on the lives of others.Position Overview:The Senior Behavioral Health Operations Manager serves as a strategic leader responsible for monitoring operational performance, grant-funded initiatives, quality outcomes, regulatory compliance, financial performance, and service delivery across Behavioral Health programs.This position serves as the primary operational partner to the Chief Behavioral Health Officer and works collaboratively with program leaders, finance, billing, quality improvement, compliance, and executive leadership to ensure successful achievement of organizational goals, grant deliverables, licensing requirements, and performance expectations.The Senior Manager develops performance monitoring systems, oversees program evaluation efforts, identifies operational barriers, and provides executive leadership with data-driven recommendations to improve access, quality, outcomes, productivity, compliance, and financial sustainability.What you will do:Program Performance & QualityDevelop and maintain Behavioral Health performance dashboardsMonitor program productivity, access, engagement, retention, and discharge outcomes.Coordinate quality improvement initiatives.Present weekly and monthly performance reports to executive leadership.Grant, Financial & Regulatory OversightMonitor performance of federal, state, tribal, county, and private grant-funded programs.Track approximately $16 million in grant-funded program activities and deliverables.Partner with Finance and Revenue Cycle teams to monitor program financial performance.Monitor compliance with federal, state, tribal, and contractual requirements.Strategic Planning & Executive LeadershipServe as strategic advisor to the Chief Behavioral Health Officer.Lead operational planning efforts.Support development of new service lines and program expansion initiatives.Coordinate cross-functional initiatives involving finance, grants, compliance, operations, and clinical leadership.Operational ExcellenceIdentify operational barriers impacting performance.Develop corrective action plans when performance targets are not achieved.Partner with Compliance and Quality teams to mitigate risk.We would like to hear from people that have:Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Healthcare Administration, Behavioral Health Administration, Social Work, Business Administration, Psychology, or related field.Seven (7) years of progressively responsible leadership experience in behavioral health, healthcare, human services, or public health.Five (5) years of experience supporting grant-funded programs.Experience developing performance metrics and dashboards.Experience with behavioral health program evaluation and outcomes measurement.Experience with operational and financial analysis.Experience working with regulatory and compliance requirements.Must pass a pre-employment or for cause drug tests.Must pass criminal background and DMV checks.Preferred Qualifications:Experience working within the Native American/Alaska Native communityMaster's Degree in Public Health, Healthcare Administration, Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Business Administration, or related field.Community mental health experience.Substance Use Disorder treatment experience.FQHC experience.Tribal healthcare experience.Experience managing multi-million-dollar grant portfolios.Experience with Medicaid-funded behavioral health programs.Lean, Six Sigma, CQI, or performance improvement certification.What’s in it for you?15 Paid Holidays: New Years Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Presidents Day, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Battle of Little Big Horn, Independence Day, Labor Day, Native American Day, Indigenous Peoples’ Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving, day after Thanksgiving, December 25th and your birthday!Benefits: Employees working 20 hours, or more are eligible for benefits.
