Senior Environmental Scientist (Supervisory)

The reporting location for this position is Dos Rios State Park in Modesto, CA. This position will work under the direction of District Superintendent II.

The Department of Parks and Recreation is seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Environmental Scientist (Supervisor)/Natural Resources Program Manager to lead the natural resources staff within the Central Valley District's Southwest park units including Pacheco State Park, San Luis Reservoir State Recreation Area, Dos Rios State Park, Caswell Memorial State Park, Millerton Lake State Recreation Area, and other units within the district. This role is ideal for a resourceful team leader with a strong background in environmental management, hydrology, and habitat restoration. The Senior Environmental Scientist (Supervisor)/Natural Resources Program Manager performs a wide range of supervisory and technical duties supporting the District's resource management goals. The incumbent works in close coordination with the Natural Resources Program Manager (Northeast) and serves as a key liaison across multiple resource program areas, including park planning, environmental compliance, wildlife and plant monitoring, real property, and the hazard tree program.

Training and Development Assignments may be considered.

Occasional travel between park units is required. Possession of a valid driver's license is required when operating a state owned or leased vehicle.
