This role will provide individualized educational instruction and support to students with various disabilities. Project Genesis is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering individuals with disabilities to lead independent and fulfilling lives.

As a Special Education Mentor with Project Genesis, you will earn $19+ an hour (depending on your level of completed education/verified through an official transcript) and provide academic support and be a role model where you can make a difference in the lives of those students you are helping.

To qualify as a Student Success Coach / Special Education Mentor, you must have a minimum of a high school diploma or the equivalent, reliable transportation to transport students out into the local community, a valid driver's license, and proof of auto insurance. • Life insurance and long-term disability insurance
  • Paid time off and holidays
  • An employee assistance program

In your role as a Learning Mentor with our Special Education Support Services (SESS) Program, you will work one-on-one with teens transitioning from high school to their adult lives. Some of your responsibilities will include assessing and supporting these students by providing basic academic instruction and helping students learn how to respond to real-world activities to aid student progress while learning life skills. You will also apply behavior management strategies and guide students in hygiene, life, and job skills. You will also:
