Our Housekeeping Associate at Grant’s Farm will ensure the cleanliness of all areas of the Farm including the grounds, walkways, rides, and facilities such as the bathrooms and offices. Their daily responsibilities include cleaning tables, emptying trashcans, cleaning restrooms, using chemicals, heavy lifting, prolonged standing, sweeping and general area cleaning. Housekeepers will support event set-ups/take-downs as needed, respond to guest inquiries in a positive and professional manner, provide excellent customer Service, and work closely with other departments on various projects and events. In addition to working in a great atmosphere with talented teammates and incredible animals we also offer employee parking passes, discounts on food & merchandise and behind the scenes views of our historic and prestigious grounds and animals. Prepares for success opening and closing of Grant’s Farm. Constantly walks grounds, picking up trash and cleaning spills. Empties trash cans, hauls trash to dumpster facilities, and replaces liners in trash cans. Cleans all bathroom facilities and utilizes tools such as brooms, mops, leaf blowers, vacuums, etc. to keep designated areas clean and free of debris. Politely answers any guest questions and assists guests when needed. Ensures rides and ride areas are free of trash and debris. Ensures the cleanliness of events by way of mopping, sweeping, and organizing tables, chairs, etc. Work in close collaboration with all Grant’s Farm internal departments. Know and understand Grant’s Farm employee handbook and adhere to all stated disciplinary actions and personnel policies. Communicates with supervisory staff regarding any potentially hazardous safety conditions. Ensure that proper safety guidelines and usage of PPE are always maintained. Ensures the proper use and understanding of cleaning agents Thorough understanding of guest safety protocols, particularly with young children. Operation of various equipment, some of which require the use of hearing protection, and other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications High self-motivation and a detail-oriented work ethic. Physical Demands & Work Environment Must be able to lift or carry 25 pounds. Must be able to stand for long periods of time. Must be able to walk distances over uneven terrain. Must be able to work a flexible schedule including days, weekends, evenings, and holidays. Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions including heat, inclement weather, cold, etc Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills; high energy and enthusiasm for completion of tasks; team building skills; and the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines. #J-18808-Ljbffr
