Full-Time Weekday Neurology Inpatient NP/PA Locums Job Starting mid-November + Ongoing through mid-January 2027 Alabama Jackson and Coker's valued central Alabama client is seeking full-time weekday Neurology inpatient Advanced Practice support. The facility is looking for clinicians with advanced skills & experience in the inpatient Neurology space while one of their team members is out of office on leave. They're willing to split this need between 2 providers to fill the full schedule and are ideally seeking candidates who can commit to a minimum of 10 days (two weeks) per month). Dates of Coverage: -Monday, 11/16 - Friday, 11/20 -Monday, 11/23 - Friday, 11/27 (Thanksgiving) -Monday, 11/30 - Friday, 12/4 -Monday, 12/7 - Friday, 12/11 -Monday, 12/14 - Friday, 12/18 -Monday, 12/21 - Friday, 12/25 (Christmas) -Monday, 12/28 - Friday, 1/1/27 (New Years Day) - Monday, 1/4 - Friday, 1/8 -Monday, 1/11 - Friday, 1/15 - Potential to extend through early February Schedule: Will work in the inpatient setting from 7A-5P Monday - Friday (10 hour day each day) No night or weekend call coverage. Details/Requirements : Active Alabama license or IMLC (can process within 24-48 hours once letter of designation is issued through the Compact). Board Certification ACLS + BLS certified Experience in the Neurology inpatient setting, ideally will also have stroke experience. Will work alongside of 1-2 Neurologists, will be the SOLO advanced provider while on assignment. Scope of work will include general + stroke Neurology. DAILY DUTIES: daily patient rounding, emergent consults, respond to stroke alert calls within 15 minutes & assist Neurologists as needed. Must be comfortable with independently conducting neurological and physical examinations, evaluating complex medical histories, and formulating differential diagnoses RESPONSIBILITIES: ordering, collecting & interpreting diagnostic tests, creating & managing medication plans independently, rounding in the ICU as needed, coordinating / managing referrals, discharges & educating family/patients on diagnoses as needed.
