MRI Technologist Bring your passion to Texas Health so we are Better + Together Work location: Texas Health Plano, 6200 West Parker Road, Plano Texas 75093 Work hours: PRN, Call and Holidays required Radiology Department Highlights Flexible staff schedules Delivery of high-quality patient care through staff development State of the art imaging equipment Supportive team environment that is inclusive and diverse Great opportunity to develop and expand your technical skills Requirements Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology required Associate degree preferred CLIAFE must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency required One-year medical imaging experience required One year of MRI experience preferred BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required Certifications ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (MR) upon hire required ARMRIT - American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists upon hire required ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (R) upon hire required ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (CT) upon hire required ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (N) upon hire required NMTCB - Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board CNMT upon hire required GMRT - General Medical Radiologic Technologist if ARRT(R), (CT), (N) or CNMT upon hire required ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (MR) if ARRT(R), (CT), (N) or CNMT within 12 months required ARMRIT - American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists if ARRT(R), (CT), (N) or CNMT within 12 months required Responsibilities Explain procedures to patient or guardian/family member prior to exam Position patient to correct anatomical area of interest Perform complex procedures including age related criteria and developmental considerations Adjust technique parameters appropriately for age related factors Assist radiologist with complex and invasive procedures using aseptic technique Maintain attention to details Process and manipulate images, analyze image quality, troubleshoot, make technique adjustments or repeat procedures as needed Utilize proper downtime procedures for PACS and HIS/RIS Correctly send and transfer images to PACS Print laser images from modality or PACS Coordinate with Centralized Scheduling and other modalities Benefits Flexible staff schedules Delivery of high-quality patient care through staff development State of the art imaging equipment Supportive team environment that is inclusive and diverse Great opportunity to develop and expand your technical skills in a variety of environments such as: OR, ER, Trauma, outpatient.
