Maintenance Tech

Maintenance Tech – Pay: $30 - $32 per hour, based on experience; one hour shift differential; shift hours 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM, second shift. Weekends, overtime, and holidays as needed. Join our team to help deliver healthier, more productive animal life. Key Responsibilities Comply with all safety processes and insist on safety practices of self and others. Show up on time, complete tasks by deadlines, and adapt to changes quickly. Monitor performance of plant machinery and equipment for proper operating performance; perform regular and preventive maintenance, repairs, diagnoses, tests, troubleshoot, and inspections on all machinery and equipment; document work accordingly. Ensure all standard operating procedures are followed. Multi‑task and keep up with demands in a fast‑paced environment. Required Experience and Skills Must be 18 years or older. Minimum one year of industrial or building facility maintenance experience. Basic computer and math skills. Ability to read, write, comprehend, follow verbal and written instructions and product manuals. Willingness to learn new skills, problem‑solve, and troubleshoot. Strong collaboration, communication skills, and respectful attitude. Preferred Experience 1 to 3+ years working with basic electrical systems, compressors, welding, plumbing, conveyors, hydraulics, packaging, PLC, pneumatics, preventive maintenance, and pumps. Experience with lock‑out/tag‑out (LOTO). Forklift experience. Physical Requirements Able to lift or carry up to 50 pounds. Frequent movement including walking, standing, bending/stooping, turning, twisting, pushing, pulling, raising arms, lifting, climbing and other active movements. Perform duties while wearing personal protective equipment. Work in temperature zones that include cold and/or hot environments for extended periods; may include areas where dust and chemicals are present.
