Printing Assistant

As a Printing Assistant, you’ll support our press operators by preparing materials, mixing inks, maintaining equipment, and ensuring quality standards are met. You’ll work closely with press operators and production teams to help deliver high-quality printed materials used in packaging across the country. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Ensure correct stock and inks. Make quality related decisions utilizing product specification testing. Mix ink and take the viscosities to maintain the required colors. Prepare the press for the succeeding press run by performing line clearance procedures. Perform and document all the necessary testing of both raw materials and finished products using established company test methods. Perform entries into the computer system for raw materials. Perform all necessary preventative maintenance as required. Provide necessary communication at shift change. Perform other duties as assigned. Skills & Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Previous Flexo printing experience preferred. Must be able to read standard ruler measurements. English language verbal and written communication skills. High school math skills. Demonstrate the ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Demonstrate basic mechanical aptitude and problem-solving abilities. Ability to multi-task and work efficiently with team members. Proficient in color matching. Physical Requirements: Frequent standing, walking, and use of hands to operate tools and equipment. Ability to lift and move objects over 50 pounds. Vision requirements include close vision, color recognition, and focus adjustment. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities. While performing the duties of this job, the employee infrequently works near moving mechanical parts and is infrequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is quiet – hearing protection is required on the manufacturing floor. Protective Clothing/ Equipment Required: Hearing protection, safety shoes, and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) requirements must be worn in all manufacturing areas.
