Outpatient Physical Therapist

The role of the Outpatient Physical Therapist involves evaluating patients, developing and implementing treatment plans tailored to individual needs and goals, and ensuring effective return to community activities. The therapist will also educate patients, families, and colleagues while maintaining compliance with organizational standards and promoting a safe environment for both patients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations and formulate treatment plans based on clinical reasoning and patient assessments.
• Document medical records accurately and timely, following all guidelines to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Supervise and mentor students as assigned, creating an effective learning atmosphere.
• Develop and pursue a professional growth plan, including continuing education and involvement in professional organizations.
• Adhere to state practice acts and maintain professional licensure, completing any mandated continuing education.
• Engage in performance improvement initiatives, contributing feedback to maximize service quality.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 1 year of outpatient clinical experience.
• Current CPR certification.
• Active and valid physical therapy license for the working state.

Schedule

This position follows a 5x8.0 schedule.
