Essential functions include:

• Assists with activities of daily living and encourages attitudes and behaviors that enhance community inclusion.
• Acts as an advocate for disabled individuals in communicating their needs, self-expression, and goals.
• Provides daily individual and group contact to clients through the delivery of recreation and leisure activities.
• Plans and prepares for the group and special event programming for clients.
• Documents weekly progress toward group and intervention participation.
• Participates in treatment team meetings and shift change reports.

Preference will be given to individuals with six (6) months or more experience in healthcare. Agency requires a current Nurse Aide certification (CNA). Knowledge of client protocols and interventions of therapy, Microsoft Suite and Practice Partner, procedures of specialized sensory programs, mental illnesses and disabilities, program adaptations, recreation and social programming, and motivational techniques are required. Minimum qualifications include 1-3 years of progressive work experience in Human Services, CNA Certification obtained within twelve (12) months of hire, or an Associate's Degree in Healthcare.

Physical working conditions include lifting medical/patient equipment of varying sizes and weights to about 50 lbs and working evenings, nights, and/or weekends as scheduled.
