What You Will Do:

The Vendor Assist & Logistics Senior Manager will support and manage shop assist suppliers. The Vendor Assist & Logistics Senior Manager will apply problem-solving expertise and build efficient working relationships across the many P&W functional groups; Quality, Materials, Continuous Improvement, Engineering, MCL, ESA, Global Work Share and multiple suppliers.

The Vendor Assist & Logistics Senior Manager, will ensure an uninterrupted flow of parts to production while meeting specific quality, delivery, and contractual requirements. The Vendor Assist & Logistics Senior Manager will be the main point of contact for the shop assist suppliers you manage, and will coordinate and lead actions pertaining to business continuity and improvement.

  • Responsible for logistics of the packing, shipping, and receiving team

  • Supplier relationships: delivery and quality performance, business reviews, underperforming supplier reviews, customer satisfaction

  • Project Management: Lead supplier qualification efforts for multiple process nodes, stakeholder and supplier reviews

  • Delivery assurance: ownership of delivery commitment and execution, output support, risk mitigation, driving recovery plans with communication to internal customers, owning the recovery through Line of Balance (LOB) improvements

  • Planning: daily interactions with site materials management team and planner for each value assist operation to ensure material flow and setting priorities at the supplier

  • Up to 50% travel to supplier sites

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Bachelor's degree and 10 or more years of experience in a manufacturing operations, supply chain, materials management, quality or related environment OR a Master's degree and 7 or more years of experience in a manufacturing operations, supply chain, materials management, quality or related environment

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products

  • Working knowledge of SAP

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Experience managing multiple projects

  • Delivery assurance and risk mitigation experience

  • CORE experience and analytical/metrics driven approach

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.

As part of our commitment to maintaining a secure hiring process, candidates may be asked to attend select steps of the interview process in-person at one of our office locations, regardless of whether the role is designated as on-site, hybrid or remote.

The salary range for this role is 132,400 USD - 251,600 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.

RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
