Desired Qualifications:
- Valid certification or license as a School Psychologist
- Experience working with elementary-aged children, especially in high-need or diverse school settings
- Strong knowledge of assessment tools, intervention strategies, and special education processes
- Excellent communication, consultation, and collaboration skills
- Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavior intervention plans (BIPs)
- Commitment to cultural competence and working with students from various backgrounds
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological and educational assessments for students referred for support services
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to identify student strengths and areas of need
- Support the development and implementation of academic and behavioral interventions
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and contribute to data-driven decision making
- Provide counseling and crisis intervention as needed for students facing emotional or behavioral challenges
- Assist in creating positive, inclusive classroom environments
