Cost Accountant

One of my manufacturing clients is seeking a Cost Accountant to join their growing finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career accounting professional looking to build a long-term career in manufacturing finance and cost accounting. Responsibilities Assist with month-end and year-end close activities Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations Support inventory accounting, cycle counts, and physical inventories Analyze inventory, labor, material, and manufacturing cost variances Maintain and update standard costs, bills of materials (BOMs), and routings Prepare financial and operational reports for leadershipPartner with Operations, Production, and Purchasing to ensure accurate product costing Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cost analysis projects Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with accounting policies Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and reporting Qualifications Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance 1–3 years of accounting, cost accounting, financial analysis, or manufacturing accounting experience Manufacturing experience is preferred but not required Experience with an ERP system is a plus Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Excellent communication and organizational skills Ideal Background Staff Accountant Junior Accountant Cost Accountant Cost Analyst Manufacturing Accountant Inventory Accountant If you're looking to grow your career with a stable manufacturing organization where you'll gain hands‑on experience in cost accounting, inventory, and manufacturing finance, I'd love to connect. #J-18808-Ljbffr
