As a 100% employee-owned company, your work helps shape our future and the future of the communities we serve.If you are motivated by the chance to be part of a team that is building something meaningful, while helping guide projects, support clients, and influence our continued growth in Ohio, we would like to talk with you.Key responsibilities of this role will include:Project Management & Delivery:Serve as a Project Manager and/or Project Engineer for roadway design projects of varying complexity, including local agency and ODOT work, with an emphasis on pursuing and delivering ODOT projectsManage all aspects of project delivery, including tasks, budgets, schedules, resources, and development of scopes and staffing plans to ensure successful outcomesLead and coordinate multidisciplinary teams, maintaining accountability for overall project performanceParticipate in project meetings, presentations, and stakeholder coordination activities.Client Coordination & Business Development:Coordinate with clients, including ODOT, local agencies, and stakeholders, to define project requirements and maintain strong relationships through clear, consistent communicationSupport business development efforts, including proposals, scope development, client engagement, and contributions to ODOT and local agency pursuitsCoordinate with regulatory agencies, utilities, and stakeholders to support project delivery and ensure complianceTechnical Design, Execution, & Quality:Lead the planning, design, and execution of roadway design projects, including geometric design, plan development, and overall technical deliveryPerform and or oversee detailed engineering analysis and preparation of project deliverables, including plans, specifications, and technical documentationEnsure quality and compliance by applying QA and QC processes in alignment with applicable standards and ODOT requirementsTechnical Expertise & Support:Serve as a technical advisor on complex design issues and project strategy, providing input on technical approaches and execution while supporting high-quality deliveryMentor and support junior staff through technical guidance, collaboration, and knowledge sharing, while working with senior leadership and internal teams to deliver successful projectsQualifications for this role:Bachelor's or master's degree in civil engineering or a related field.Professional Engineer (PE) License in Ohio10+ years of experience in roadway and highway design, including project management experience on ODOT transportation projectsExperience supporting pursuits, proposals, or client development activities preferredExperience with MicroStation, OpenRoads required; experience in AutoCAD, and Civil 3D preferredProven ability to lead teams, manage multiple priorities, and drive projects to successful completionStrong verbal and written communication skills, including experience working with clients and stakeholdersDemonstrated commitment to quality, accuracy, and excellenceWhat we offer:Health & Wellness: medical, dental, vision, disability, and basic life insurance w/ option for additional voluntary life insuranceWork/Life Balance: vacation, holidays, sick leave, maternity/paternity leave, flexible scheduling & telecommuting opportunitiesWealth-Building: 401k w/ company match, student loan repayment benefit, ESOP, competitive compensation packageProfessional Benefits: professional membership dues, career & educational developmentLochmueller Group is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
