At Collins Aerospace, our Multi-Domain Assured Navigation and Timing Applications (MANTA) organization is a growing business area in need of a qualified electrical engineer to support development and factory transition of state-of-the-art navigation products for the Government marketplace. The ideal candidate shall have a well-rounded background; one that has demonstrated experience or training in multiple aspects of electrical engineering such as RF, digital, and analog design. This is an individual contributor role in which the engineer is part of a cohesive team of engineers responsible for developing key subsystemsfor the PNT product lines.

What You Will Do:

• Design and development of GPS receivers
• Design of circuit card assemblies (CCAs) with RF or mixed signals
• Work in a lab to accomplish component characterization as well as module verification and integration
• Test and handle sensitive RF Hardware
• Schematic capture and RF routing
• Partner with interdisciplinary teams - power, digital, mechanical, systems etc.

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Experience with RF design and fabrication
• Experience with RF test and troubleshooting
• Experience with simulation of RF products
• Experience with any of the following tools: Mentor DX Designer or equivalent, High Frequency Structure Simulator (HFSS) or equivalent, SystemVue/Genesys or equivalent, Advanced Design System (ADS) or equivalent
• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Mentorship or apprenticeship experience
• Technical oversight responsibilities and mentoring of junior engineers
• Working across domains on complex projects
• Architecting and requirements definition for complex RF products and of mixed signal receiver
• Technical experience to lead team from proposal, architecture, requirements, design, layout, I&T and production.
• Background in designing for manufacturability, producibility, and cost constraints.
• Includes yield and margin analysis
• Cascade analysis and/or frequency planning
• Filter design and fabrication
• Experience in analog design, power supplies, control and interface circuits
• Scripting experience (Matlab or Python)

The salary range for this role is 145,600 USD - 276,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
