This individual is responsible for directing the overall administration, management, and supervision of the following hospital-wide programs: Risk Management/Claims Management, Occupational and Patient Safety, and Emergency Management. Serve as the facility's backup investigator for alleged abuse/neglect, primary investigator for all Peer to Peer and other Center event reviews, and other administrative reviews as assigned by the Facility Director. Responsible for all outside reporting of serious patient injuries and other major events etc. Acts as Center liaison for American Heart Association, Instructor Trainer and coordinator. Directs and supervises the activities of the Center's Information Center/Front Desk. Minimum Qualifications Knowledge of State and Federal Policy, Procedures, Rules and Regulations regarding Hospital Risk Management, Human Rights, Occupational Safety, NFPA Regulations, Life Safety Code, and Hospital Emergency Management 2) Ability to collect, interpret, manipulate, and present data, 3) Good investigative techniques, organizational skills, writing and interviewing skills are essential, 4) Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in written form with a variety of individuals from a variety of professional backgrounds, 5) Individual must have the ability to write, clearly, concisely and in an extremely organized manner, 6) Extensive administrative and clinical knowledge base, 7) High degree of independent initiative and decision-making, 8) Teaching/training skills, 9) Must be able to function independently; assess and plan an effective investigation, l0) Must possess moderate skill in the use of computers. Additional Considerations Experience in Hospital Risk, Safety, and Emergency Management Science, Data Collection, Evaluation, Manipulation and Presentation, Investigative Process and Report Writing, Program Planning / Evaluation and Supervision.
Bachelor Degree in Professional Health or Safety Related Field.
Experience in Risk Management, Quality Management, Occupational Safety and Health Field.
Supervisory Experience.
