PEIMS Clerk
Under direct supervision, perform data entry for Public Education Information Management System (PEIMS) data, including grades, report card, progress reports, transcripts, and master schedule. Maintain accurate records for the campus.
Education/Certification: High school diploma or GED
Special Knowledge/Skills: Knowledge of and ability to use computer and software systems for data entry, to develop spreadsheets, and do word processing Ability to communicate with administrators, teachers, parents and related services staff in a positive manner Proficient keyboarding, file maintenance and 10-key skills Ability to meet established deadlines Experience: Two years of PEIMS data entry in a high school setting (preferred)
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
- Collect and enter PEIMS data into the student information system and verify accuracy of coding according to established polices and procedures.
- Prepare and disseminate PEIMS reports, including grades, class or personnel rosters, end-of-semester reports, and student demographic reports.
- Maintain physical and computerized records, including special programs data lists, progress and failure reports, class rosters, grade books, and all other related PEIMS data.
- Work closely with high school counselors on GPA and rank calculations.
- Process new student records, including requesting transcripts and records from other districts, adding transfer courses, and entering student data into appropriate fields.
- Work closely with program specialists to verify accuracy of PEIMS data. Assist with requests for student information from government entities.
- Assist in campus office as needed. Perform other duties as assigned by Principal/Director of PEIMS. Maintain confidentiality.
