Minimum 1+ years Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) experience and CNA certificate required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A fulfilling opportunity awaits a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide essential 1:1 support for a student with a complex medical history in an educational setting. This contract position offers the chance to make a significant difference in a young student’s daily access to learning, safety, and health.

Schedule:

• Full-time, 35 hours per week

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Current CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) license required
• Proven experience with pediatric populations or students with special healthcare needs is strongly preferred
• Knowledge of supporting individuals with conditions such as genetic disorders, congenital heart disease, ADHD, developmental coordination disorder, pediatric feeding disorders, and asthma
• Familiarity with care plans addressing dysphagia, EoE (eosinophilic esophagitis), and coordinated support for health and safety needs
• Ability to respond appropriately to medical emergencies and implement health care interventions as outlined
• Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate well with teachers, nurses, therapists, and families

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide day-to-day supervision, health monitoring, and direct care to ensure safe and successful participation in school activities
• Support feeding needs and implement all aspects of the student’s individualized healthcare and safety plan
• Monitor for changes in medical status, respond to acute needs, and report any concerns to the appropriate staff
• Foster a supportive environment that encourages learning and engagement, while ensuring the student’s well-being
• Maintain accurate documentation related to care and observations
