About the Role We're looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant with 2–5 years of experience to join our finance team. This role covers full cycle accounting and is a great fit for someone who enjoys owning month-end processes and wants to grow their career with a company that values accuracy, initiative, and clear communication. This role reports directly to the Assistant Controller. What You'll Do Own full cycle accounting responsibilities, from transaction entry through financial statement preparation Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations as part of the monthly close process Reconcile balance sheet accounts, including bank accounts, prepaid expenses, and fixed assets Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed Support preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements Analyze account variances and research discrepancies Assist with audit preparation, including gathering documentation and responding to auditor requests Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies Maintain organized, accurate records to support financial reporting and audit trails Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and increase efficiency Collaborate with cross-functional teams (FP&A, Billing, HR) to support broader business needs What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 2–5 years of relevant accounting experience, with exposure to full cycle accounting Solid understanding of GAAP and general ledger accounting Experience with NetSuite, Salesforce, and Ramp is a plus Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas) Strong analytical skills, with the ability to identify trends, variances, and discrepancies Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to prioritize competing deadlines and work independently as a self-starter in a remote environment Strong written and verbal communication skills Why Join Neon One At Neon One, we're on a mission to connect nonprofits with the technology and resources they need to build communities of generosity.
