Project Accounting Supervisor

Kforce's client, one of New York's most respected Real Estate Developers, seeks a Project Accounting Supervisor. This role offers competitive compensation/benefits, a great work environment and lots of visibility and potential to advance. Responsibilities:
- Direct supervision of personnel including Project Accountants and Accounts Payable Associates
- Project Accounting Supervisor will review and ensure accuracy and integrity of AIA invoice billing
- Review and verify billing for fee percentage and insurance
- Liaise with clients and monitor collection of billing
- In charge of outstanding accounts receivables -manage follow-up inquiries to clients
- Monitor cash flow and communicate to senior management
- Participate in monthly financial meetings with project managers for monitor progress of project and ensure proper and accurate billing and pay application to client per contract terms
- Review and interpret contracts, subcontractor documents, payment terms, insurance, and bond requirements
- Review and verify accuracy of final AIA payment application from trade subcontractors
- Liaise with vendors and respond to inquiries from general contractors and project managers
- In charge of outstanding accounts payables
- As a Project Accounting Supervisor, you will monitor weekly check runs and wire transfers
- Responsible for close out of the projects upon their completion
- Assist with the monthly close process and financial reporting for the Company
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred
- 7+ years of construction/project accounting experience
- Experience with Sage 300 (Timberline accounting software) and Procore (project management software)
- Strong communication skills; Both verbal and written
- Proficient at an intermediate level with MS Excel
- Able to analyze raw data and present it in a meaningful manner to upper management
- Willing to work in office 5 days in midtown Manhattan
