DC Forklift Operator - Inbound

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Operate fork trucks in a safe, efficient, and effective manner while unloading trucks and moving freight within the DC. Move incoming merchandise from truck to dock, and dock to correct stocking areas. Stock all rack merchandise and arrange rack surplus from zones in the appropriate manner. Set down rack surplus for zones so orders can be filled and replenishments can be made to stocking locations. Perform any miscellaneous tasks that require a fork truck. Replenish outbound totes as needed, where applicable. Assist with maintaining mezzanine zones. Maintain safety standards while operating and identify unsafe practices and situations. Assist with training as a trainer, taking ownership of the DC target training program, ensuring training is conducted on schedule and documentation is complete. Explain specific job duties and functions to new team members, and convey departmental or procedural changes to existing team members. All other duties as assigned. SKILLS / EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE Must work well in a team environment. Operating knowledge of forklift and power equipment. High school diploma or equivalent (GED) [Desired]. Experience operating various types of power equipment. Advanced knowledge of parts lines in warehouse and surplus merchandise locations. Advanced computer skills.
