Nurse Practitioner Physician Assistant Cardiothoracic Surgery Cardiology

Job Description Henry Ford Health is seeking a contingent Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Cardiothoracic Surgery team. This inpatient, operating room-based role provides care for high-acuity adult cardiac surgery patients in a fast-paced, highly specialized environment. Provide advanced assessment, differential diagnosis, and clinical decision-making in collaboration with cardiothoracic surgeons Deliver comprehensive pre-, intra-, and post-operative care for cardiac and thoracic patients Perform patient evaluations, document histories, conduct rounds and physical examinations, and prepare discharge summaries Assist in all surgical procedures, including endoscopic vein and radial artery harvesting, and first/second assisting in cardiothoracic operations Formulate and implement post-operative treatment plans under physician supervision Maintain current BLS/ACLS certification and adhere to department protocols and guidelines Qualifications Master's degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program Current Michigan licensure as NP or PA National certification (ANCC, AANP, or NCCPA) Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification Endoscopic Vein Harvesting (EVH) certification First/Second Cardiac Surgery Assisting certification DEA registration and Michigan Controlled Substance License (PA only); DEA registration (NP only) #J-18808-Ljbffr Henry Ford Health
