Russell Tobin's client, an American software development company, is hiring a Supply Chain Buyer in North Reading, MA Apply Now! Employment Type: Contract/Onsite Location: North Reading, MA 01864 Duration: 6+ months with possible extension Pay range: $34/hr - $37/hr W2 Schedule: Mon – Fri Job Description Responsibilities Purchase materials and equipment from suppliers, including electro-mechanical assemblies, electronic components, PCB assemblies, hardware, and non-inventory items. Manage supplier relationships and track key performance indicators (KPIs). Support monthly supplier scorecards and procurement reporting for leadership reviews. Plan material requirements, manage inventory levels, and maintain supplier schedules within ERP systems. Monitor material flow and proactively identify supply chain risks. Partner with planning teams to communicate risks and mitigation strategies. Track and update open purchase orders, delivery requirements, and expedite requests. Support supplier performance management and new product/program introductions. Resolve purchase order receiving discrepancies and assist with invoice reconciliation. Manage supplier returns, including NCRs, RMAs, and MRB material processing. Identify and implement process improvement initiatives through cross-functional collaboration. Required Qualifications Experience in procurement, purchasing, supply chain, or materials management. Knowledge of inventory planning, material requirements planning, and supply chain operations. Experience working with ERP systems. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong skills in Microsoft Office applications. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Preferred Qualifications Experience purchasing electronic components, PCB assemblies, electro-mechanical assemblies, or hardware. Understanding of data management and database systems. Experience supporting manufacturing, engineering, or technical supply chain environments. Continuous improvement or process optimization experience.
