Assign duties to staff to correct any deficiencies recorded during walk‑throughs or temperature checks. Supervise restaurant operations during shifts, assisting staff as needed to ensure high levels of guest service, food preparation, and cleanliness. Contribute to profitability through effective cost control, monitoring prep charts, reviewing food prep, controlling waste, auditing guest checks, inspecting deliveries, and overseeing cash control policies. Assist the General Manager in recruiting and staffing the restaurant. Cover call‑offs and absences to maintain compliance with service, food safety, and cleanliness standards. Ensure new employees are properly oriented and trained per Denny’s brand standards. Respond to guest requests and complaints and resolve them appropriately. Perform daily cash reconciliation and take deposits to the bank. Execute daily and weekly administrative duties as assigned. Conduct inventories and order food, non‑ingredient, and other items as assigned. Ensure equipment is properly functioning or contact service for repair per restaurant policy. Qualifications Minimum of 2 years as a restaurant manager in the restaurant industry. Strong knowledge of family‑restaurant management. High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, holidays, and weekends (24/7, 365‑day operation). Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. Excellent organizational and leadership skills. Proven ability to prioritize tasks, work independently, and take direction with minimal supervision. Dependable and reliable, with strong analytical, independent thinking, and problem‑resolution skills. Ability to handle multiple tasks while maintaining a high level of accuracy. Ability to consistently provide a positive customer‑service experience to guests and employees.
