Registered Nurse (RN) - Outpatient Oncology (Contract)

Location: Cincinnati, OH 45219
Duration: 11-12 Weeks
Shift: Day Shift
Schedule: 4 Days/Week (8-hour shifts)
Weekly Hours: 32 Hours
Job Summary

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Outpatient Oncology RN to support a busy oncology practice. The RN will provide direct patient care, chemotherapy infusion administration, patient education, phone triage, and coordination with the healthcare team to ensure safe and effective oncology treatment delivery.
Key Responsibilities

• Assess and document patient history and clinical status in EMR
• Record vital signs and monitor patient conditions
• Administer and monitor chemotherapy and oncology infusions
• Provide patient education on treatments, medications, and follow-up care
• Perform phone triage and respond to patient concerns
• Monitor for adverse reactions and escalate to providers when needed
• Follow physician orders, labs, and diagnostic results
• Assist physicians during clinical procedures
• Maintain accurate EMR documentation
• Coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams (MDs, pharmacy, lab, etc.)
• Maintain crash carts, defibrillators, and emergency equipment
• Respond to medical emergencies per protocol
• Support quality and compliance standards

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited School of Nursing
• Active RN License
• BLS Certification
• Chemotherapy infusion experience required
• Outpatient oncology/infusion center experience required
• Strong clinical assessment skills
