Laundry Attendant, full-time

Flexible schedule, mostly weekday shifts

What you'll do:

  • Sorts soiled linens (sheets, towels, resident clothing) into appropriate baskets
  • Washes and dries linens and clothing per facility procedures
  • Folds and stacks clean linens, preparing them for delivery
  • Loads and transports clean linens on covered carts to designated areas
  • Prepares resident clothing on hangers or racks for return
  • Delivers clean clothing and linens to the correct resident rooms
  • Organizes resident closets and places folded items in drawers
  • Verifies all items are returned to the correct resident
  • Maintains a clean, organized, and disinfected laundry area at shift end
  • Follows all infection control policies and assists with other assigned duties

What we're looking for:

  • High school diploma, equivalent, or currently enrolled in high school
  • Laundry experience in a healthcare setting preferred
  • Ability to read, speak, and understand English
  • Able to move and work in various positions, including tight or confined spaces
  • Willingness to work around body fluids and communicable diseases
  • Ability to lift, push, or pull 50-100 lbs. without assistance
  • Capable of standing or walking for extended periods
  • Adequate vision and hearing (with or without assistive devices) to perform duties
  • Meets facility health and employment requirements
