Industrial Electrical Technician

Under the direction of the Controls Engineer, the Industrial Electrical Technician assembles electrical control systems and is able to troubleshoot these systems both at Faith’s facility as well as our customers. The listed duties are not all inclusive and may be expanded upon as management deems necessary. Interpret electrical schematics, sub‑panel layout drawings and instructions to assemble electrical panels. Maintain schematics, layouts and files in a digitized computer system. Wiring and fabrication of industrial control panels, associated equipment and machines. Power, wire, debug and re‑wire all sized electrical panels and machines. Install power supply wiring and conduit for newly installed machines and equipment such as robots and controllers using hand tools, power tools and electrical equipment. Troubleshoot electric systems. Identify mechanical/electrical problems with equipment. Install and repair electrical systems, machinery and electric components on industrial machinery. Follow electrical code and blueprints using hand tools and tester equipment to troubleshoot. Experience troubleshooting VFD and motor control circuits. Experience with loop controllers and instrumentation. Act as a technical resource for product field support of customers, service personnel and field sales force, assisting in addressing and resolving problems. Travel to job sites to resolve problems with electrical systems. Perform preventative and predictive maintenance as required of plant equipment, fixtures and buildings. Assemble and install equipment as required. Field wiring experience commissioning industrial equipment a plus. Ability to work independently, in a fast pace environment. Learn to perform field work duties with and without general supervision. Perform other related duties as assigned. Responsibilities Promote and maintain a safe working environment for all employees. At least 1 year experience with Industrial Panel Wiring. AutoCAD or AutoCAD Electrical experience. Experience with AC (up to 480v) and DC circuits. Beneficial, but not required. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively communicate with groups of managers, customers, and employees of the organization. Mathematical Skills Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations. Ability to use and understand measurement devices such as tape measures, scales, calipers. Reasoning Ability Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Other Qualifications Valid State‑provided driver’s license. Requires the ability to operate a variety of standard office equipment, such as. Computers. Programs: Word Processor, Spreadsheet. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, occasionally loud. Other Must be able to demonstrate in an interview the ability to read electrical, MCC and control drawings. This will require hands‑on experience in doing wire terminations, point to point and assembling of control panels. The perfect person will have both experiences and the ability to demonstrate these skills in an interview as FEI designs, builds and integrates controls and control products into new and existing automated manufacturing systems. #J-18808-Ljbffr
