Pipefitter Helper

Pipefitter Helper Chalmette, LA: Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking a Pipefitter Helper to assist skilled pipefitters in the installation, maintenance, and repair of piping systems in industrial and construction environments. This position is ideal for individuals looking to gain hands‑on experience and grow within the skilled trades. Essential Duties Assist pipefitters with cutting, threading, assembling, and installing piping systems Transport materials, tools, and equipment to and from work areas Measure and mark pipes according to specifications Help with layout and positioning of piping systems Maintain a clean and organized job site Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE Support hydrotesting and system checks as directed Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors Requirements / Skills High school diploma or GED preferred Previous construction or industrial experience is a plus Basic knowledge of hand and power tools Ability to read a tape measure and follow instructions Strong work ethic and willingness to learn Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check TWIC card preferred or ability to obtain one Physical Requirements Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 50 pounds regularly Must be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and climb for extended periods Ability to work in outdoor environments and varying weather conditions Must be comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces as needed Equal Opportunity Statement Flexicrew Technical Services is an Equal Opportunity Employer; employment with FTS is governed on the basis of merit, competence, and qualifications.
