Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Day Shift | 36 hours guaranteed, 12-hour shifts | Every other weekend and major holiday required | On-call 1–2 shifts every 6 weeks

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessments, develop and implement individualized plans of care, and evaluate the effectiveness of nursing interventions for obstetrical and women's health patients
• Provide inpatient Labor & Delivery nursing care including support for vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, versions, and cerclages, with a 1:1 ratio during active labor and 1:3 for antepartum patients
• Perform electronic fetal monitoring, vaginal exams, and resuscitation and stabilization of the mother/fetal dyad
• Administer medications safely and coordinate care across hospital departments in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team
• Provide triage, prioritization, assessment, education, stabilization, and emergency management for women of all ages
• Float within Women's Health as needed and participate in ongoing quality improvement initiatives within the department

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license in the state of practice or covered by compact
• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience; higher acuity experience strongly preferred
• BLS (Basic Life Support) required
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) required
• Fetal monitoring experience required (certification not required)
• Circulating experience required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) preferred
• Scrub experience preferred
• Experience with EPIC Electronic Health Record (EHR)
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
