The role will mainly focus on the cloud-native applications while supporting integration with on-prem applications and upstream/downstream systems.The successful candidate will combine strong AWS serverless engineering capability with application design, coding, troubleshooting and delivery leadership. This person will guide internal and vendor developers, review designs and code, drive resilient implementation patterns, and remain actively involved from requirements and estimation through production implementation and post-release verification.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide hands-on technical leadership for the design, development and modernization of wire payment services. Translate business and regulatory requirements into scalable, secure and resilient cloud-native solutions. Design, develop and review AWS serverless applications using Node.js, Lambda, DynamoDB, SQS, SNS, EventBridge, S3, APIs and AWS CDK. Lead solution design, code reviews, technical documentation, effort estimation and implementation planning. Establish engineering standards for resiliency, error handling, retry, recovery, observability, security and performance. Partner with QA on unit, integration, white-box, regression, performance, chaos and production-readiness testing. Diagnose complex production issues, lead root-cause analysis and ensure permanent corrective actions are implemented. Drive technology-currency, vulnerability and runtime remediation across application components and environments. Provide technical guidance to internal and vendor developers, ensuring quality, accountability and knowledge transfer.
