We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our accounting team. This position is responsible for processing invoices, maintaining vendor records, preparing payments, and supporting accurate financial operations. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, and enjoys working with numbers while maintaining positive relationships with vendors and internal teams. Key Responsibilities Process vendor invoices accurately and on time Match invoices with purchase orders and supporting documentation Prepare and process vendor payments Maintain accurate vendor files and payment records Reconcile vendor statements and resolve invoice discrepancies Respond to vendor and internal payment inquiries professionally Assist with month-end accounts payable activities and reporting Maintain organized financial records and documentation Follow company policies and internal accounting procedures Support continuous improvement of accounting processes Minimum Qualifications 2+ years of experience in accounts payable, accounting, bookkeeping, or a related role Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Outlook Strong computer skills and the ability to learn new software quickly Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines Strong written and verbal communication skills High level of integrity, professionalism, and accountability Preferred Qualifications Experience maintaining electronic accounting records Experience in the construction or homebuilding industry is a plus Pay & Benefits Full-time W-2 position $59,400 to $66,000 annually , depending on experience In-office position based in New Bern, NC Additional benefits will be discussed during the interview process Why JC Jackson Homes JC Jackson Homes believes great companies are built by great people.
