PRN Histology Technician / Histotechnologist

Are you a certified Histotechnologist (HT or HTL) looking to pick up extra hours with a flexible, as-needed schedule? Lighthouse Lab Services is partnering with a European diagnostics company that has recently launched new laboratory operations in Kannapolis, NC. We are seeking a PRN Histotechnologist to support histology and molecular workflows—particularly those related to cancer marker testing. This is a great opportunity for an experienced Histotech who enjoys flexible scheduling, wants to stay hands-on in the lab, and is interested in exposure to advanced molecular diagnostics. Key Responsibilities Perform routine histology procedures including embedding, microtomy, and staining (H&E and special stains) Assist with molecular pathology workflows, including cancer marker testing Ensure high-quality slide preparation and adherence to laboratory protocols Maintain compliance with CAP/CLIA standards Provide on-site technical support in coordination with the remote Laboratory Director Requirements HT or HTL (ASCP) certification required Minimum of 1 year of experience in a clinical or reference histology lab Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently Experience with cancer-related specimens or molecular workflows is a plus Familiarity with CAP inspections and regulatory standards preferred Reliable, organized, and self-motivated Position Details PRN / As-needed schedule (anticipated daytime hours; flexible based on lab needs) Opportunity for consistent part-time hours depending on workload Pay: $35–$40/hour, depending on experience Potential for ongoing or long-term engagement About Lighthouse Lab Services Lighthouse Lab Services partners with laboratories nationwide to support startup, growth, and operations.
