Job Summary:
Respiratory Therapist Registered specializing in Pediatric (RT PEDS) is needed for a healthcare facility in Johnson City, New York. This role involves delivering respiratory therapy services, including evaluation and treatment of patients across various settings. The position requires providing safe, accurate, and timely care to pediatric and adult patients, with responsibilities spanning aerosol therapy, ventilator management, and life support procedures.

Job Details:

• Certifications, Education Requirements, Degree Requirements, Location Requirements, and Experience: Graduation from an accredited School for Respiratory Therapy, New York State Respiratory Therapy Permit or License, Registered by the NBRC as a Respiratory Therapist, BLS (AHA, HSI, or American Red Cross), and ACLS Certification from American Heart Association. Up to three (3) years of experience in critical care or NICU, with a minimum of 0 years required.
• Schedule: Night shifts, every other weekend; 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid certifications, education from an accredited school, licensure in the state, NBC certification, BLS and ACLS credentials, and experience in critical care or NICU settings.
• Preferred Qualifications: One (1) year experience as a Respiratory Therapist.
• Additional Information: The role involves managing mechanical ventilation, performing arterial puncture and analysis, conducting pulmonary function screening, and participating in patient transports. Candidates should demonstrate strong attention to detail, teamwork, effective communication skills, and adherence to safety protocols. External patient transport participation may be required.
